THE STORY IN THE LAYERS
BEHIND THE TITLE OF " Beliefs "

WORDS
When I first read this quote by the physicist David Bohm (1917 - 1992) on the nature of reality I read it again and again, it was mind boggling and at the same time it made so much sense.
"Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends on what we look for. What we look for depends on what we think. What we think depends on what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality". |
I painted this several times onto the background and then again in the final layer as the table cloth.
IMAGES
LittleMissG, my daughter, painted the snail and I just loved the colours she mixed to do it. I knew I wanted to keep it and then decided to make it part of a vase. The other vases followed, then the flowers and the table cloths made from the David Bohm quote. At the end I still felt there was something missing and added the hummingbird as the final element. |
THEMES
